You can enjoy spectacular views, numerous species of high-altitude birds, such as the quetzal, and walk in the habitat of different mammals that inhabit our forests, such as the cougar, the danta and the mountain goat, among others. Our abundant vegetation will dazzle you and hopefully you will have the experience of walking among the clouds. All this, along with the benefits of physical activity that a mountain hike provides.

The proximity to San Jose and the opportunity to walk and visit the cloud forest is a must-see experience!

Pickup details:

Travelers should take an Uber or taxi to Park France and wait for our properly identified transportation. Our off-road vehicles will pick you up there to take you to the Iral Cloud Forest and back to the same point. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. They should arrive 1 hour before the set time. To arrange private transfers to hotels or other locations, contact El Iral directly.

What to expect

Located in the Coronado Mountains, Iral Bosque Nuboso is a natural paradise just 50 minutes from San Jose. With more than 1,600 hectares dedicated to conservation, ecotourism and dairy production, it offers a unique experience of connecting with nature. The Iral restaurant offers panoramic views and a varied menu with fresh options for breakfast, brunch or lunch. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy delicious food in a natural setting.

With more than 50 km of well-marked trails, the Iral has routes for all levels. From easy hikes to challenging trails, the trails take you through forests, meadows, rivers and waterfalls, with spectacular views of volcanoes and the central valley.

We will explain the various route options to enjoy our trails immersed in the cloud forest. You can choose from food packages or enjoy our delicious à la carte restaurant before returning. A unique experience in itself!
