It is an amazing sight to get up close to the Cape Fur Seals in their natural environment. One can observe them sunning themselves on the rocks, dropping into the ocean from the rocky ledges, lazing in the water, or putting on an acrobatic show. The colony is made up of over 8000 seals and our experienced guides who are passionate about the ocean and its marine life, will give you a full run down on the seals making it super informative and fun for the whole family. We take you on an exciting and scenic 20-minute boat ride to Robberg Nature Reserve and on the route there is always the possibility of dolphins or whales passing by. Meeting and pickup
Meeting Time - 30 Minutes prior to launch. Please drive straight to Beacon Island Hotel Main Entrance. Park outside & follow our signs on the walkway left of the boom gate. We are inside the Beacon Island Hotel complex, next to the volleyball courts. If you need further directions, ask the security.

1Robberg Nature Reserve
For those of you in the family who do not wish to snorkel and get wet, but do not want to miss out on this exciting boat ride out to the beautiful Robberg Nature Reserve to view the seals, you can accompany your family & friends on our boat. You will be met on arrival at the dive centre to sign in before taking a short stroll on the beach to the boat and experience a true Plett-style beach launch. Once out at Robberg, you will be able to observe a variety of Nature in & out of the water, including Cormorants and the ever so-elegant Cape Gannet, not forgetting our amazing Cape Sea Fur Seals who welcome you by bounding towards the boat full of excitement and ready to interact with the snorkelers. You might even be lucky enough to see the whales and dolphins that frequently visit the bay. Free Photos are made available to you after the trip!
