Experience 3 days, a total immersion in traditional Khmu culture, with a Khmu guide.
Dinner and a night at a local's home then departure to the primary forest to learn traditional Khmu living techniques in the forest.
Night in the forest in the shelter you have made.
Return by private canoe towards Luang Prabang.

During the 4 hours of walking to reach the Khmu village:
You will cross 3 villages and 5 streams while learning about edible and medicinal plants.

You will discover various plantations: pineapple plantations, banana plantations, and various vegetable gardens.

With a little luck elephants but for sure you will come across buffaloes.

Once in the village you will visit it and make contact with your hosts and the next day you will leave for the forest with your Khmu guide.

then return by 4 hours by canoe for the return where you will see fishermen engaging in their activities and various animals enjoying the Mekong

    Day 1

    Departure for the first night and meal with the Khmu

    We will start by crossing the Mekong using the ferry, then 45 minutes later, we will arrive at the access road to the Khmu village of the Mekong. You will cross 5 fords and 3 villages. Then, upon arrival in the village, you will be welcomed by your host family with a welcome cocktail, then tour the village and your room. You will share the meal and then you will spend your first night Khmu style.

    Departure for the primary forest

    After your breakfast, you will greet your hosts and enter the primary forest on the banks of the Mekong to learn the forest life techniques of the Khmu tribe. On the program: learn how to make a traditional Khmu shelter, for this, you will learn how to make bamboo constructions, rope and weaving to waterproof your shelter. You will also learn how to make a fire, filter and purify water, cook in tribal style using bamboo, edible and medicinal plants.     Return by canoe on the Mekong

    The smoke from the fire will let you know it's time to wake up and enjoy breakfast. Then, you will gather your things to go to the banks of the Mekong to learn traditional fishing techniques: fishing rod, net, traps, cast net. You will taste the fruits of your catch and leave for 4 hours by canoe to return to civilization where a tuk-tuk will take you back to your hotel.
