Most Marco Island charters last 2 to 4 hours. A full day gives you time to fish both the calm mangrove backwaters and the nearshore Gulf reefs in one trip, and to stay on the fish when the bite turns on instead of heading back to the dock. It is a private trip, so the day is built around your group: serious anglers can chase bigger fish, and families can mix in a beach stop, shelling or dolphin watching. Up to 6 guests on your own boat with a local USCG-licensed captain.

Meet your captain at Goodland Boat Park. When you arrive, find the flag pole, then walk out the dock to the left of the boat ramp. The charter boats line up on your left: look for Marco Fishing Company. There is parking and public restrooms on site. Please arrive 15 minutes before your start time.

What to expect

Spend a full day on the water with a private captain and your own boat for up to 6 guests. With eight hours there is time to fish several kinds of water: the mangrove backwaters of the Ten Thousand Islands for snook, redfish and trout, and nearshore reefs and wrecks in the Gulf for snapper, grouper and whatever is biting that season. Your USCG-licensed captain plans the day around the tides, weather and your group's goals, whether that is a big fish, a full cooler or a relaxed day with kids. Rods, reels, bait, tackle and fishing licenses are included. Bring lunch, drinks and sunscreen, and plan on great photos and plenty of dolphins along the way.
