The name is taken from Queen Giovanna, from the Roman era, who particularly loved this place to the extent of building her summer residence there. The cave's entrance is two meters wide but only about one meter high, so visitors must board small rowboats that carry a maximum of four passengers to enter. Upon request, it's possible to visit the Blue Grotto (€18 per person to be paid on-site if you like to visit it).
