Pickup details:

We pick up at all Banff and Canmore hotels, as well as Stony Nakoda Resort. If you prefer to meet us at the starting location, we meet at Fortress Mountain Junction Service Station, located 40km south of Stony Nakoda Resort on Hwy 40. Please note there is no cellular service at the meeting location

What to expect

Imagine yourself traversing high alpine ridgelines in the Canadian Rockies without crowds or long approaches. Join White Mountain Adventures in quiet, pristine Kananaskis country, as our guides shuttle you up the private/gated access road, then onward via Ranger ATV into the heart of the Fortress backcountry. Begin your day at the top of Fortress Ridge for a stunning 2-hour ridgeline guided hike. Take in the expansive 360-degree views of towering cliffs, wildflower meadows and pristine mountain lakes. Next shuttle to a secluded small alpine lake to explore surrounding larch forests in the shadow of towering rock walls above.
