The Radeasa Fortress cave is located at the spring of the Somesul Cald river, being in an advanced evolution stage. It perfectly shows the way in which caves turn into gorges. The cave has a 15 m tall and 7 m wide oval-shaped entrance, into which the Radeasa stream enters. The single gallery is a 212 m long tunnel, with ample halls and chimneys going all the way.

Cave complex consists of three huge sinkholes (karst crater-like), with 300 m deep and more than 1 km in diameter. Basically there are 3 grand amphitheater of rock, which communicate with each other through portals particularly spectacular, with only one natural entrance Valley Fortress
Living Fire Glacier is a cave sheltering the third largest block of ice in the country (after Scarisoara and Bortig Pit, also located in the Apuseni Natural Park), with a volume of 25,000 m3. It is a small cave, consisting of two rooms, the first and largest being occupied by the huge block of ice.
This Cave, near the village Casa de Piatra (at 12km of Garda de Sus), is magnificent by it numerous stalagmites and stalactites. It is one of the less caves not arranged that can be visited. At the entrance there is a guide that give you a hand/head lamp and tells you the visiting rules. It is prefered to go with a small backpack or with no baggage so you could sneak through a narrow corridor and wear boots with non-slip soles due to the high humidity inside.
We shall visit Scarisoara Ice Cve the greatest Romanian Ice Cave.Take pictures of the entrance, an impressive sinkhole, that has 60 m diameter and descends 48 m, leading you to the body of the cave where you will walk on 70000 cubic meters of ice (20 m thick).
