    Please arrive at the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island, located in the Silo District at the V&A Waterfront, at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Be sure to bring either your original passport or a digital copy on your phone. After boarding the shared ferry, you'll enjoy a scenic 30-minute journey across open waters to the Robben Island Museum. Upon arrival at the island's jetty, you'll disembark and join a guided tour aboard a shared bus. The tour will be led by a former political prisoner, who will provide live commentary on the island's rich and poignant history, pointing out the residences of former inmates and other significant landmarks.
