Head to a quiet building located right next to a river that flows through the heart of Kyoto, where ducks and fish live peacefully. Watch a professional demonstration, then make the sushi with your own hands. Try making basic nigiri sushi (made only with rice and sashimi) as well as sushi rolled with seaweed. Eat the sushi you make right on the spot. Usually, participants make and eat about eight pieces of sushi, and if you wish, you can also order additional sushi made by the professional chef (for an extra fee).
For those who are interested, you can also choose the option to try calligraphy.
Calligraphy is a traditional Japanese art of writing characters with brush and ink.
