You will see a parade of majestic yachts that grace the tranquil waters. These opulent vessels, adorned with sleek lines and gleaming hulls, create a nautical symphony against the backdrop of the city skyline. From classic sailboats to modern mega-yachts, each vessel tells a story of maritime opulence and a passion for the open sea.
The Unconditional Surrender statue, also known as "The Kiss" or "Embracing Peace," is a striking 25-foot tall, 3-ton sculpture located in Tuna Harbor Park, adjacent to the USS Midway Museum in San Diego. It depicts a sailor kissing a nurse, inspired by the iconic 1945 V-J Day photograph that symbolizes the end of World War II. This popular waterfront attraction serves as a scenic photo spot and commemorates the joy and relief felt at the conclusion of the war. Originally a temporary installation from 2007 to 2012, its immense popularity led to the creation of a permanent replica, which was unveiled in 2013. The statue was crafted by artist J. Seward Johnson and is part of a series inspired by the historic moments captured in the V-J Day photographs. We will get a close up look at the USS Midway. The USS Midway is a historic aircraft carrier that served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1992. As the lead ship of its class, it played a crucial role in various military operations, including the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. Now retired, the ship provides a fascinating glimpse into naval aviation history, showcasing an extensive collection of aircraft and artifacts. As a symbol of American naval strength, the USS Midway stands as a prominent attraction, inviting guests to experience a piece of military legacy firsthand.
The Broadway Pier is a modern, eco-friendly 1,490-foot venue located on the San Diego Embarcadero, serving as a cruise ship terminal, ferry terminal to Coronado, and a public recreational space. It offers scenic bay views, public art installations like the "Tidal Radiance" light art, and the Tin Fish restaurant, along with seating areas and restrooms. Located at the west end of Broadway near the USS Midway Museum, the pier's history dates back to the 1910s, with a remodel in 2010 enhancing its sustainable, energy-efficient features while maintaining a vibrant atmosphere for enjoying the waterfront.

This architectural gem boasts a sprawling 13,000-square-foot stage, designed to provide breathtaking 360-degree views of the scenic surroundings. The stage, equipped with advanced technology, creates an immersive experience that enhances the magic of live performances. Set within a lush, park-like environment, the venue exudes a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where guests can unwind amidst the beauty of nature. It not only serves as a hub of vibrant entertainment but also as a serene oasis where the artistry of live music harmonizes with the captivating beauty of its coastal setting.
The Embarcadero Marina Parks, comprising North and South, are beautiful, 13-acre green spaces that extend into San Diego Bay, offering stunning panoramic water views and lush lawns. The parks feature paved walking paths, a picturesque gazebo, and basketball courts, making them ideal for picnics, events, and sunset watching. Located near Seaport Village and the Convention Center, the parks are distinct peninsulas surrounded by concrete promenades. Embarcadero Marina Park North is a serene spot with views of the city skyline and bay, while Embarcadero Marina Park South includes a T-shaped fishing pier, basketball courts, and ample parking.
