PostaanZee is a non-profit community centre in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, dedicated to fostering social connections and reducing loneliness among residents. The Nijntje aan Zee Pleintje in Egmond aan Zee is a delightful tribute to the beloved Dutch character, Nijntje (known internationally as Miffy), created by Dick Bruna. In May 2008, Dick Bruna himself inaugurated this charming square, which features a wooden boat sculpture with a life-sized figure of Nijntje, located near the main beach access point. This spot has become a popular photo opportunity for visitors and a playful landmark in the town, reflecting its connection to Bruna's inspiration for the character during his visits to Egmond aan Zee.

The J.C.J. van Speijk Lighthouse in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, was completed in 1834 and stands as one of the country's oldest active lighthouses. It was named in honor of Dutch naval hero Jan van Speijk, who perished in 1831 rather than surrendering his ship to Belgian forces . The lighthouse is a white brick tower, 28 meters tall with a focal height of 37 meters, and emits a white light visible up to 18 nautical miles and a red sector light visible up to 14 nautical miles . It was designated a national monument in 1967 and continues to operate, offering panoramic views of the surrounding dunes and sea.
