Taking this journey through the rhythms of Flamenco, you will feel how you can interact rhythmically with Flamenco music (guitar and singing) and with other people who are clapping basic rhythms. This activity offers travellers a unique opportunity to visit an authentic Flamenco studio, located off the beaten path in the center of Seville. You will be guided by an instructor who is a professional dancer with years of experience teaching dance and rhythms to all levels (Spanish, English, Dutch and French speaking). You will enjoy Flamenco performances so much more, with the insider knowledge this activity provides you.
You will learn how to clap basic patterns and variations, getting to know different Flamenco styles. You will experience that only by clapping your hands and using your feet to keep a beat, you have the essential “instruments” for a fun activity. What to expect

You will be picked up at the meeting point. From there, it’s a two minute walk to the studio. You can choose whether you want to take the class sitting down or standing, but usually the rhythms are performed sitting. You will practice different techniques of hand clapping, called "palmas" in Spanish. Your instructor will explain and draw different rhythmic patterns of Flamenco to enable you to understand them well. You will learn to clap these rhythms with your hands, while using your feet to tap other beats. You will experience how you can perform different rhythms interacting with Flamenco music, singing and guitar. You will learn a lot about Flamenco rhythms and styles! You will be able to take pictures and ask questions to an experienced instructor.
