    Ulaanbaatar - Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune

    Elsen Tasarkhai

    After our guide and drive meet you at your designated hotel or airport, you'll start your guided tour towards the Elsen Tasarkhai (Mongol Els dunes) which is 280km from Ulaanbaatar. You will take lunch when we reach the Mini Gobiand you will engage in camel riding, stroll across sand dunes, and unwind amidst the tranquil beauty of nature. The dunes, spanning 80 kilometers in length and 5 kilometers in width, are surrounded by low hills adorned with scarce bushes, complemented by a petite forest near a river. This area offers a distinctive fusion of Mongolian mountains, forests, and Gobi-like landscapes all within a single location. Overnight accommodation will be at a Nomadic family where you can savor milk tea and indulge in traditional Mongolian cuisine. The local camp provides camel trekking, sandboarding, and nighttime stargazing opportunities in this mini desert enclave. You will spend a calm and beautiful evening in the middle of the Mini Gobi.

    Elsen Tasarkhai - Kharkhorin- Tsenkher Hot Springs

    At the break of dawn, following breakfast, we set out from Elsen Tasarkhai towards Tsenkher Hot Springs. En route, we traverse the historic Kharkhorin town, once the capital of the 13th-century Mongol Empire under the name Karakorum. Our first stop is the Kharkhorin museum, showcasing artifacts and the history of the ancient city of Karakorum. Briefly, we observe the turtle stone monument, a significant relic of Karakorum, and visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery, constructed in 1586.

    From Kharkhorin, we head to Tsenkher Hot Springs.     Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park

    Following an early breakfast, we proceed towards Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur, also known as Terkh White Lake. The appellation "White Lake" stems from the lake's remarkably transparent, clear, and pristine water. Situated in the Khangai Mountains in central Mongolia, this deep lake was formed through volcanic activity at an elevation of 2,000 meters, boasting expansive and crystal-clear waters reminiscent of the sea. Surrounded by volcanic formations, the region has earned national park status and was recognized as one of the prime travel destinations by CNN channel in 2011.

    Mongolia hosts over 400 extinct volcanoes, with Khorgo volcano, last erupting 8,000 years ago, considered the final active one. Standing at an altitude of 2210 meters, with a crater height of approximately 200 meters, a diameter of around 200 meters, and a depth of about 100 meters, Khorgo is presently dormant. Feel free to bring a swimsuit as the lake is pristine and the water temperature is comfortably mild for swimming. In this day, for dinner, the travelers will be offered by traditional Mongolian food "khorkhog".

    Take a scenic drive through the land of yaks to Jargalant Hot Springs, where you can relax in sulfur-rich waters at 70°C. Experience life with a Mongolian nomadic family, learn to milk livestock, and play ankle bone games. In the evening, cook a traditional Mongolian barbecue with the hostess. A true, unforgettable cultural adventure! We will take you away from the tourist area to a real nomadic grassland.Visit a local horse breeder family and live like a Mongolian Nomad for a day!     Following breakfast, after 1 hour drive we reach the shores of Khuvsgul Lake, nestled within the basin of the Khoridol Saridag Mountains at an elevation of 3200 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, we settle in at a tourist camp, allowing ample time for rejuvenation after our extensive journey. Khuvsgul Lake stands out as the clearest lake not only in Mongolia but also across Asia. Its crystal-clear waters, with visibility extending up to 20 meters, reveal the lake's diverse aquatic life from the water's edge. A remarkable array of 69 species of plankton micro-organisms thrives at depths of up to 5 meters, contributing to the lake's natural water purification process. Despite being home to 12 fish species, fishing activities are limited. Our overnight stay at the lakeside tourist camp offers a chance to fully appreciate the serene beauty of the surroundings.     The Blue Pearl - Khuvsgul Lake, the deepest and purest lake in Mongolia. The lake is one of the few glacial lakes left from the last ice age. Some people call it “Switzerland of Mongolia”. You have an opportunity to trek to the lakeside & mountain for a better view and photo shooting. Today we will see reindeers herders. Reindeer are herded for their antlers, a lucrative medicinal material as well as for their milk and meat. You have a chance to take your memorable pictures with reindeers and herders.     Khuvsgul- Bulgan Province- Uran Togoo

    We now proceed towards our next destination, the Bulgan province, where Mongolia's largest river, the Selenge Gol, flows through the northern part of the aimag, while the Orkhon and Tuul rivers wind through the southern regions. Bulgan aimag is renowned for its abundance of picturesque locations, including Eg-Selenge, Eg-Tarvagatai meadow, Uran-Togoo, Khugnukhan, Khuiji, Uurt, and various springs scattered throughout the province. Noteworthy historical landmarks include remnants from the Stone Age, ancient ruins, the site of Baibalyk (the ancient city of the Uighur State), and the remains of Prince Tsogt's residence. Bulgan holds significance as a revered pilgrimage site for Mongolians, owing to its rich historical sites.

    We reach the tourist camp situated close to the dormant Uran Togoo volcano. This volcanic site is thought to have become extinct around 25,000 years ago, and its mountain summit remains undisturbed and uncracked. The name "Uran," meaning "Artistic" in Mongolian, was bestowed upon it by the locals due to the crater ridge resembling a beautifully crafted creature when observed from a distance. The circular ridge spans approximately 400 meters in diameter and encompasses a crater with a depth of 100 meters.
