This 3-day tour from Marrakech has been designed for travelers looking for an authentic Moroccan experience, without rushing or forced tourist stops. We travel in small groups to offer a more comfortable, closer and flexible environment throughout the tour.
We work exclusively with professional local guides, knowledgeable about Berber culture and the best panoramic routes of the High Atlas and the desert. We carefully select accommodations to ensure comfort, cleanliness and good food, which makes a big difference on multi-day tours.
Unlike many standard tours, we prioritize the traveler experience: more time in the natural landscapes, sunrise and sunset in the desert, camel ride and royal visits to Berber villages, without pressure to shop in tourist shops.
Our team is available before, during and after the tour to ensure a safe, well organized and memorable trip.
Stay in front of Café France restaurant, and our guide will come to pick you up by calling your name or contacting you by phone.
Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages and crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest mountain road in Morocco, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
Visit the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village made of clay and stone, famous for its traditional architecture and as a filming location for many international movies and TV series.
Discover Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, home to famous film studios and cinematic landscapes used in major international productions.
Explore the lush Skoura Oasis, filled with palm groves and ancient kasbahs, and travel through the nearby Valley of Roses, renowned for its natural beauty and rose-based products.
Begin the day with a stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Todra Valley, where you can see the remains of abandoned Berber and Jewish houses built into the surrounding hills. These ruined villages reflect the region’s rich cultural history and the former coexistence of different communities who lived from agriculture and trade in this fertile valley.
Continue to the spectacular Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s most impressive natural landmarks. This dramatic canyon features towering limestone cliffs rising up to 300 meters, with a river flowing through its narrow passage. Enjoy time to walk through the gorge, admire the scenery, and experience the refreshing atmosphere created by the rock walls and flowing water.
Leave Tinejdad restaurant to discover the ancient khettaras of el Jorf, traditional underground irrigation channels that have supplied water to desert communities for centuries. Nearby, you will also see the remarkable land art installation “Celestial Staircase” by German artist Hansjörg Voth, a unique fusion of architecture, art, and desert landscape.
Arrive in the iconic Merzouga Desert, home to the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. Travel by camel across the golden sands, enjoying wide desert views and the opportunity to try sandboarding on the dunes. As the sun sets, reach your desert camp where you will be welcomed with traditional hospitality. Enjoy a dinner under the stars, followed by Berber music and drumming around the campfire. Spend the night in the heart of the desert, surrounded by a peaceful, star-filled sky.
Start the morning with a good breakfast in the camp before returning to Merzouga on the back of a camel, enjoying the tranquility and soft sunrise light on the dunes. From the village, continue the road trip through wide desert plains dotted with acacias, while the landscape changes progressively as you approach the Atlas Mountains. The road to Marrakech offers panoramic views and small Berber villages that add charm to the journey. You will arrive at your hotel in the afternoon, putting the finishing touch to this memorable desert adventure.
