Visit sacred shrines and temples known for their connections to matters of the heart and wealth. Explore Enoshima island, dedicated to Benzaiten, the goddess of art, music, and wealth, where love and relationships are celebrated.

Then visit the iconic Great Buddha, a monumental bronze statue that has watched over Kamakura for centuries and the small but astonishing Zeniarai shrine where people come to wash money in the hope of getting more.

    In Kanagawa Prefecture, along the Shonan coast, there is Enoshima: a small island, which can be explored entirely on foot, which offers a series of interesting attractions: shrines, panoramic points, and bathing areas. It is also possible to have a view of Mount Fuji on days with good visibility.

    The Bell of Ryuren (also known as The Bell of the Dragon's Love) is a monument located on the hill of lovers, and bases its fame on the local legend of the love between the maiden and the five-headed dragon. It is said that if a couple rings the bell, their love will never break.

    The Great Buddha of Kamakura is located inside the Kotoku-in temple complex. Built at the end of the 13th century, it is the second largest Buddha in all of Japan, as well as one of the most visited destinations in the entire Kanto area. Entrance Fee (not included) : About 300 JPY

    The Zeniarai Benten Shrine (or just Zeniarai) is the second most popular shrine in the area. Built inside a small hill, it is said that those who wash money in the springs in the sanctuary will multiply their wealth.
