    Extending into the foothills in the western part of Kyoto, Arashiyama is an area that is home to countless temples and shrines surrounded by nature. Its bamboo forest (the largest in all of Japan), is popular with both local and non-local travelers.

    Officially called Arashiyama park Kameyama area, it is a perfect spot where you can admire the scenic beauty of Arashiyama in all its seasonal colors. From the observation deck, it is possible to admire the entire surrounding area, especially the Hozu River and the mountains in which Arashiyama is enclosed.

    The famous bridge that crosses the moon extends along the Katsura River. At 155 meters long, it is one of Arashiyama's most popular stops from which to admire the horizon.
