This tour will bring you to the roots of Finnish culture by winter outdoor activities!

You will enjoy two very local activities in one great experience: snowshoeing through the snowy forests of Lapland and ice- fishing on an immense frozen lake. This trip is a great opportunity to catch your breath and escape the speed of everyday life!

Your guide will lead you go into the snowy forest by snowshoes and give you instructions and show step-by-step before the begins of each activity. While waiting for the fishing, you guide will some snacks for you - and if it is a lucky day, you will also have a chance to cook your fish and enjoy!

Hotel pickups commence prior to the start time, your exact pick up time will be confirmed by email in the morning of activity day. Please be at the hotel lobby or downstairs outside the rental apartment 5 minutes before the meeting time, thank you. If you have difficult finding our guide, please call us.

What to expect

Your guide will pick you up from the accommodation or meet you at the meet-up point, and then take you to this outdoor tour

You will be provided by winter outer clothes, all necessary equipment for ice fishing and snowshoe. Your guide will teach you how to use these tools and the skills. And then you will start to enjoy the outdoor activities of snow shoe trekking, ice fishing, and grilling - if you are lucky to catch your own fish, you will also grill the fish! 

In the end of the tour, you will return to where you were picked-up and have a restful evening and night.
