What to expect

The Everest Base Camp Trek is the ultimate adventure trekking experience that will take you to the base camp for the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters). The journey begins in Lukla, located in the heart of the Khumbu Valley. This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure deep into the amazing, raw Himalayas. Along the trek, you will experience towering snow-covered peaks, ancient glaciers, majestic glacial lakes, rugged mountain passes, and colourful villages lining the trails.

You will take an adrenaline-fueled flight from Kathmandu to Lukla – one of the world’s most thrilling airstrips – and the beginning and ending point of the trek. From Lukla, you will enjoy an easy first few hours of the trek descending to Phakding through pine trees alongside the Dudh Koshi River. During your trek you will have your first views of rural mountain life. After a restful night in Phakding you will trek riverside toward.
