The theatre dates back to Roman times, specifically built around 15 BC under the reign of Emperor Augustus. It is one of the oldest Roman theaters in France.
The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière is an architectural masterpiece that combines Byzantine and Romanesque styles. Designed by Pierre Bossan, its unique design features four octagonal towers and a richly decorated façade.
