Over the course of three days, you’ll travel along winding mountain roads, including the breathtaking Ma Pi Leng Pass—often referred to as the “King of Passes” due to its dramatic views of towering cliffs and the Nho Que River far below. The journey takes you through remote villages where you’ll meet members of the Hmong, Dao, and Tay ethnic groups and gain insight into their rich cultural traditions.
Highlights of the trip include a visit to the historic Hmong King’s Palace in Dong Van, known for its striking architecture, and a scenic trek along the Sky Path, which provides sweeping views across the Ha Giang region. Each evening, relax with hearty local meals and warm hospitality, staying in a mix of cozy homestays and small mountain lodges—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration.

20.00: Everyone meets 21.00: Get on the best comfort Sleeper bus to Ha Giang. Checking in our Ha Giang Hostel in early morning around 3am and offering yourself a nap and breakfast before the tour starts
08.30: Meeting your guide and easy rider then our brilliant Ha Giang Loop adventure begins.
09.00: The road leads you to Bac Sum Pass, up to Heaven Gate, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the twin mountains and Tam Son town.
11.00: Having lunch in Yen Minh Town.
12.00: Short break and drive towards Dong Van, through the picturesque Chin Khoanh Pass. Indeed, the whole Dong Van Karst Plateau is a major geoheritage sight in Vietnam. The landscape is composed of unlimited rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks and breath-taking views. It also gives you the chance to experience the life of hill-tribe villages where local people work on the land.
14.00: Visiting Hmong King’s Palace, a home of Vuong’s family in Sa Phin. Arriving in Dong Van in quite late afternoon, enjoy a local Vietnamese dinner and live music, karaoke after a long day of mind blowing landscape views. At night time, free and easy before another day of adventures.
08.00: After breakfast we leave Dong Van Town to enter the highlight of the journey, the Ma Pi Leng Pass It is well known for its abrupt cliffs and breath-taking views, often referred to as the “king” of the passes in Vietnam with its highest point at an altitude of 2,000 meters.
10.00: To experience how spectacular the pass is, we will trek the Sky Path to have a closer look at the whole valley and Nho Que river. From the top view, there is a picturesque 360° panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass. Once on the peak, you might feel overwhelmed by the majestic mountains and rivers.
12.30: Then we continue to drive through the villages of Meo Vac, Mau Due and Lung Ho, where our break for lunch is served. In the afternoon, we passed through the epic mountainous Cheers Du Gia homestay located in the middle of green rice fields.
08.00: On the last day of our journey, we swam at a waterfall before coming back to Ha Giang city. Visit Lung Tam -The village is occupied by Hmong ethnic minorities, who are skillful textile products. We then cross Quan Ba town and have a look at the Nui Doi mountain
10.00: After crossing Sky Gate, we pass back by Bac Sum Pass and go back to Ha Giang late afternoon, before getting the bus going back to Hanoi Old quarter.
