In this workshop, we will work on decorating smaller sized biscuits than the contemporary icing biscuit/cookie classes.

These require more precision, so you will be learning some of the science behind perfecting royal icing techniques. You will be able to have an in depth knowledge and appreciation for royal icing by the end of this workshop.

Be creative and bring back home some handmade gifts for your friends and family!

Come and join us to have some fun adding your own unique twist to your biscuits.

The class will be held in Cafe Yukari outside it's operating hours. The door will be opened 10 mins before starting time.

What to expect

You will be Decorating biscuits with pre-prepared Royal icing. During your stay, you'll be able to learn and apply various drawing techniques. these include:

Drawing outlines, Making teardrops and heart using stiff icing, Creating flowers and forage using stiff icing, Fill areas using flood icing.

Our biscuit and royal icing recipes use kitchen pantry items so you can recreate it at home (information sheets will be provided).

You'll be able to utilize various techniques to create professional looking biscuits. Themes will vary, but we will always teach a few floral designs since we are in Kew Gardens!

Biscuit themes will be season dependent.

Usual themes will be spring flowers, summer and beach, autumn, Christmas. There maybe other biscuits near other events like Valentines and Easter. As a group, it is possible to do other event themes like baby shower too on request (and depending on the cookie cutters I own).

The lesson will be 1.5 hours long, but it can take up to 2 hours.
