Set in a unique venue built around a real sumo ring (dohyo), this experience gives you a close-up look at Japan’s national sport in a relaxed and easy-to-understand way.
Watch retired sumo wrestlers perform traditional moves, training exercises, and sumo matches while a live host explains everything in both Japanese and English. You’ll learn about winning techniques, forbidden moves, and the meaning behind sumo’s traditions.
The highlight for many guests is the chance to step into the ring and try a fun sumo challenge yourself.

Feel the power and spirit of Japan’s national sport in an exciting sumo-themed venue with a real dohyo (sumo ring) at its center! Your evening begins with a graceful geisha dance, followed by fun, bilingual live commentary that brings sumo’s history, culture, and humor to life. Watch retired sumo wrestlers demonstrate traditional techniques and playful matches up close. Feeling brave? You might even get the rare chance to step into the ring yourself for a friendly bout — participants are chosen by lottery! During the show, enjoy an all-you-can-eat meal featuring hearty chanko-nabe (chicken hot pot) and a variety of Japanese side dishes. At the end, capture the memory with a printed photo with the wrestlers and take home an exclusive souvenir gift set. Note: This is an entertainment-based show featuring retired sumo wrestlers. For those who wish to watch real training, please visit an active sumo stable elsewhere in Tokyo.
