Now it is possible to make the whole track, and the experience is truly impressive. The walk between Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo offers stunning views, including the famous Stairway to Heaven. Along the way, you can enjoy spectacular viewpoints and, if lucky, walk over the clouds. The tallest peaks of Madeira reveal themselves in all their glory, providing a unique feeling of being on top of the world.
With our transportation service, you can enjoy the experience without worrying about traffic, parking or logistics. Provisionally, until the end of April 2026, the activity will consist of two transfers: we take you to Pico do Areeiro for the first part of the walk and then to Achada do Teixeira to continue to Pico Ruivo. From May, the guests will start the trail at Pico do Areeiro and will be picked up at Pico Ruivo.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We take you to Pico do Areeiro, where you can make a self-guided walk, passing through Ninho da Manta and the famous Stairway to Heaven.
Then we continue by transport to Achada do Teixeira, where you can walk to Pico Ruivo, the highest point in Madeira.
After the walk, we will pick you up at Achada do Teixeira and bring you back to the starting point.
This format will be in effect until the end of April 2026, as a temporary compensation solution, as long as the full route does not reopen.
Starting from May 2026, the guests will start the walk again at Pico do Areeiro and will be picked up at the end of the iconic trail at Pico Ruivo, resuming the classic mountain crossing.

It is essential to respect the recommended time for each route, especially the one indicated by the driver, since there are other participants in the service. Failure to comply with the schedule may result in the departure of the transport without your presence.
