From Hobart to Bruny Island is about 45 minutes. At the ferry terminal, we expect to hop on the ferry with a mini-bus and have about 20-25 minutes of travel time.

There may be 200 or so stairs to climb, but the views are definitely worth it. The Neck Lookout gives you a bird's eye view of the spectacular natural landscape of North and South Bruny Island.

The historic Cape Bruny Lighthouse, built-in 1836, is the only southern Tasmanian lighthouse open for tours. At 114 meters tall, it towers over the spectacular dolerite cliffs of Cape Bruny and offers panoramic views of the rugged South Bruny coastline.

Hotel Bruny is open 364 days a year. Serving up amazing seafood meals and, of course your pub favourites. They have a great focus on local premium products to go with the sensational views of the channel and satellite island. Fantastic service and great local knowledge. During Winter sit by the open log fires with a mug of Hot Bruny Island Cider. During Summer, grab a cold glass of local beer and oysters, sit on the deck, and watch the world go by.

Adventure Bay Bruny Island is known for its beautiful 7km long, east-facing beach. It has a sheltered feel with many large gum trees surrounding the beach and the cliffs of Fluted Cape on the southern end. It’s got a relaxed Australian beach town feel, and unlike many of these towns, it’s managed to keep this vibe without becoming commercialized. Explore Island wild animals such as Echidna, White Wallabies, Quolls, etc.
