Depending on the number of passengers, we will carefully select the vehicle to pick up the passengers from the Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito. A representative will be waiting for you with a sign displaying your name, and then take you to your hotel in Quito.

    Welcome to Quito! It is the most visited city in Ecuador, due to its cultural richness, being considered "Reliquary of Art in America", as well as being the first city to be declared by UNESCO "Cultural Heritage of Humanity". The city is surrounded by the Pichincha, Antisana, Cotopaxi, and Cayambe volcanoes that make up the Andean contour. One of our representatives will be waiting for you at the Quito airport to transfer you to the hotel, and depending on your arrival time, you can spend the day exploring the old town of Quito and its surroundings. We can help you organize a day trip (please request it in advance). In the evening, one of our guides will meet you in the hotel lobby for a welcome briefing at 6:00 p.m. At this time we will discuss the details and questions you may have about the adventure. Our first day is an acclimatization and information day.

    Quito – Galapagos – Transfer in – Highlands – Twin Craters

    In the morning after a delicious breakfast, one of our guides will be waiting for you to transfer you to the airport so you can take your flight to the Galapagos Islands (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). He will assist you with everything you need at the airport.

    Once you have arrived at Baltra Island you will be picked up and transferred to Santa Cruz, a nearby island, crossing the narrow Itabaca Channel by ferry. From here we will continue by car to our first stop in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The highlands are home to the iconic Galapagos giant tortoises. Here you will visit a private ranch where you can go for a walk in search of the giant tortoises. During this visit, you will also visit some lava tunnels, which are formed when the surface of a lava flow solidifies. After this tour, you will continue by private vehicle to your hotel. Here you will meet your local guide, who will explain the itinerary for the next day. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon free to relax and get to know this beautiful island.

    After a delicious breakfast, we will take a walk to the Main Pier where we will board a boat to Punta Estrada, from the boat we will be able to observe blue-footed boobies, frigates, seagulls, etc., after this we will snorkel in Franklin Bay, optional snorkeling equipment will be provided free of charge to anyone who wishes to use it, in this place you can see a great variety of colorful fish, sea turtles, small sharks, etc. After this we will go to the SHARK CHANNEL located in Punta Estrada, here we will be able to observe the shark sharks, after this we will walk towards LA PLAYA DE LOS PERROS and then, we will go towards LAS GRIETAS, passing by the salt mines; a unique and ideal place to swim with fish and snorkel, here we will have the opportunity to take photographs. In the afternoon we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn more about many of the endemic species seen in nature.

    Transfer Santa Cruz – Isabela – Giant Turtle Breeding Center – Flamingo Lagoon – Tintoreras Islet

    After breakfast, we will take a fast boat to the largest island in the archipelago and where the greatest volcanic activity is reported in the Galapagos. The island was formed by six shield volcanoes, Alcedo, Cerra Azul, Darwin, Ecuador, Sierra Negra and Wolf; five of them are still active, which is why the island is one of the places with the greatest volcanic activity on the planet. Upon arrival, we will visit the site of the giant tortoise breeding center and the flamingo lagoon to admire this incredible species in its natural habitat. In the afternoon we will visit Tintoreras Islet located a short distance from Puerto Villamil and home to a wide variety of wildlife. Its turquoise and crystal-clear waters are inhabited by white-tip reef sharks, Galapagos penguins, sea turtles and sea lions. One of its beaches, surrounded by mangroves, is one of the few sites where marine iguanas can successfully reproduce.

    Hike in Sierra Negra – Chino Volcano – Concha Perla

    After driving from Puerto Villamil to the trailhead, we’ll pack our backpacks for the hike into a young forest ecosystem, a world of recent geological history. Our destination is the rim of the Sierra Negra crater, an active volcano that last erupted in June 2018. Upon arrival, we enjoy stunning views and explore the circumference of the massive lava-filled crater, a caldera that is more than six miles across at its widest point. If we feel energetic enough, we can continue our hike to Volcán Chico, a secondary crater that has a wild landscape of fumaroles and colorful lava formations; great examples of the dramatic geological events that have shaped the Galapagos Islands over millennia. In the afternoon you’ll have time to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of Concha Perla and do some snorkeling to observe marine wildlife.

    Transfer Isabela – Santa Cruz - Transfer out – Quito

    After our final breakfast on the Galapagos Island and the last photos taken of the sea lions, we have a boat transfer from Isabela Island to Santa Cruz Island and finally we have the transfer to Baltra airport in time to take the flight back to the mainland (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED).
