Considered as one of the most beautiful pre-Hispanic buildings in Mexico. It is decorated with sculptures, weighing one tonne, depicting heads of snakes and rain deity; as well as reliefs of rattlesnakes, shells and sea snails. It was built around 250 AD and destroyed and buried by the Teotihuacans themselves in 350 AD.
One of the most important Pyramids of the city, whose axes align with the planet venus and the Moon, which allows to associate it with a feminine character. It has a height of 45 m and base 130 m per side.
Considered to be the third largest building in antiquity. It is 65 m high and 240 - 245 m at its base. Its construction took about 150 years, from the beginning of our era to 150. It is considered to be the center of a "horizon calendar", because its axes are aligned to sunrises and sunsets on specific dates, as well as solstices, dividing the solar year into two periods of 52 and two of 130 days.

We will walk a little along the main axis of the city, 2 km long, which connects with the most important buildings. While our archaeologist explains relevant aspects of the site.
We will visit an artisan workshop where we will explain how it was worked and the uses and type of the most important material, not only in Teotihuacan, but in all of ancient Mexico: obsidian, glass of volcanic origin. In addition, we will talk about the cultivation and uses of an agave that has been fundamental for millennia: maguey, as well as we can taste some of the products obtained from it, such as the fermented called pulque
