Considered as one of the most beautiful pre-Hispanic buildings in Mexico. It was built around 250 AD and destroyed and buried by the Teotihuacans themselves in 350 AD.
Considered to be the third largest building in antiquity. It is 65 m high and 240 - 245 m at its base. Its construction took about 150 years, from the beginning of our era to 150. It is considered to be the center of a "horizon calendar", because its axes are aligned to sunrises and sunsets on specific dates, as well as solstices, dividing the solar year into two periods of 52 and two of 130 days.
One of the most important Pyramids of the city, whose axes align with the planet venus and the Moon, which allows to associate it with a feminine character. It has a height of 45 m and base 130 m per side.
It is a housing complex of the Teotihuacan elite where one of the great examples of pre-Hispanic mural painting in Mexico is located. The art of mural painting in Teotihuacan has been very important to know the thought of the ancient inhabitants of the place, since to date it has not been possible to decipher a possible writing code.
