Half-day guided discovery tour (8 a.m.-1 p.m., English/French) of this UNESCO World Heritage site. This excursion includes the descent of the Tarn in a boat helmed by a skipper with the Bateliers des Gorges. Your driver-guide will be waiting for you at the arrival of the descent to head directly towards the Point Sublime from where the view of the Cirque des Baumes is absolutely beautiful. Finally, discovery of Sainte-Enimie, classified among the most beautiful villages in France, before returning to Mende around 1 p.m.

Meet at the coach stop, Place du Forail, in front of the steps of the Coeur Lozère tourist office, in Mende. (free parking at the La Vabre car park, just above the fairground, if necessary)

    We leave Mende to reach the Causse de Sauveterre. We will pass through Sainte Enimie, a medieval village among the most beautiful villages in France, before joining the Causse Méjean, after crossing the Tarn.

    A dizzying descent from the Causse Méjean towards the Gorges du Tarn brings us to the small village of La Malène, where we will embark on a one-hour boat ride with a boatman. You will learn everything about the Tarn and its inhabitants, passing through some of the most beautiful places in the gorges. Your driver-guide will pick you up on arrival, so you don't have to return to La Malène.

    The sublime point allows a splendid view of the Baumes cirque, one of the most photogenic meanders of the Tarn gorges.

    Sainte Enimie, located on the Tarn, is a remarkable medieval village with a thousand-year-old history linked to the source of the Burle.
