  Kandt House Museum

  At the Kandt House Museum, you will explore Rwanda’s journey through three fascinating sections. The first presents life in pre-colonial Rwanda, the second focuses on the colonial period and the legacy of Dr. Richard Kandt, and the third showcases Rwanda’s natural treasures and the transformation of Kigali into today’s vibrant capital. The entry fee is 12 USD.

  For a beautiful scenic view of the entire city, Mount Kigali offers it all. This mountain is where Kigali got its name, and from the top, you can see the Nyabarongo River as well as breathtaking views of the Southern Province.

  Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial

  At the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial, you will learn the story of the ten Belgian UN soldiers who were killed at the start of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi while protecting Prime Minister Agathe Uwilingiyimana.
