Experience the unforgettable adventure of mountain gorilla trekking in either Rwanda or Uganda. Spend one magical hour observing a habituated gorilla family in their natural habitat with experienced park rangers. Your tour includes private transportation, a professional driver-guide, and the required gorilla permit.

Gorilla permits are limited and issued on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend booking well in advance. All bookings are subject to permit availability. If permits are unavailable for your selected date, we will offer an alternative date or an alternative option.

Meeting and pickup
We'll meet you at your accommodation, whether it's a hotel or another location, and pick-up is included anywhere in Kigali.

1Rwanda
If you choose to trek gorillas in Rwanda, your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, you will register and attend a briefing by experienced park rangers before setting off on your trek through the rainforest. Once you locate a habituated gorilla family, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will receive your gorilla trekking certificate, enjoy lunch and, if time permits, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village before returning to Kigali.

2Uganda
If you choose to trek gorillas in Uganda, you will travel from Kigali across the Rwanda–Uganda border to your designated gorilla trekking destination. After completing registration and a briefing by park rangers, you will begin your trek through the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once found, you will spend one incredible hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will receive your gorilla trekking certificate, enjoy lunch and return to Kigali via the Rwanda–Uganda border.
