As you travel from Kigali to Bugesera, you will see the changing landscapes of Rwanda unfold before you. The city streets gradually give way to rolling hills, farmland, and small villages, offering a glimpse into everyday life outside the capital. Along the way, you may notice local markets, colorful homes, and children playing in the fields, creating moments to pause, take photos, and experience the real rhythm of Rwandan life. The journey itself becomes part of the story, connecting the city to the villages and the serene beauty of this side of Eastern province .

Stop at the Kicukiro Memorial, where your guide will share the history of the site and its significance during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Take time to learn about what happened here, pay your respects, and reflect on the stories of those who lost their lives. After visiting Nyamata and Ntarama Churches, continue to a nearby village in Gashora for a brief look at everyday rural life in Rwanda. If people are going about their daily activities, you may also have the opportunity to greet them, ask questions, and learn about their way of life. This short visit offers a simple and authentic glimpse into the daily life of the local community.
