A wonderful waltz through some of Liverpools most historic, quirky and significant and certainly storied pubs. As a private tour; this experience is always curated for your interests on the day.
"If these walls could talk" and that is exactly where your guide comes in with a compelling narrative setting the scene of Liverpool's place in history, plus why each pub has been hand picked for this off beat tour. This evocative walk is a great blend of culture, history and Liverpool's most famous sons - The Beatles!
> Step inside up to 5 pubs, typically with a drink in up to 4 of them but it's up to you!
> Walking in total is 40 minutes without stops, so add in pub stops and photo opportunities - along the route, you'll continually be asking 'What's that?'
> At the end we can escort you the 2 mins back to The Cavern, where The Fab 4 played 250+ times and still has live music all day every day so it's a great high to finish on! Or we an escort you back to where you need to be.
You set the pick up point! We will meet you at The Cruise Liner Terminal, your hotel in the city or other public meeting point or Liverpool Lime Street station. If you require further assistance/another location please message us after booking. As this is a private tour, everything can be planned around you. We can escort you back to the meeting point at the end of tour if required.
Your personalised pub crawl with a twist! Our first pub dates back to Victorian times; murals adoring the walls were to settle a drinking debt and many curious objects on display have been bequested by regulars of the pub. Stained glass windows, snugs with wooden benches, carved armrests depict the original landlord. Evening visits may catch live Irish music! We stop for a drink.
Here we are at the pub and we'll say hello to Rita the landlady if she's behind the bar. Great photos opportunities here.
En route to the next pub - voted by Trip Advisor as the most ornate in the world - you will see Georgian Quarter, Hope St, Case History installation, schools of The Beatles, catch sight of our TWO cathedrals, and sight where Peaky Blinders and House of Guiness have been filmed.
We arrive for our second pub stop! Even the toilets are famous in this magnifiant building, originally built as a gentleman's club. We can duck inside and stop for a drink if you'd like. It's also where Sir Paul performed his Carpool Karaoke pop up gig.
This venue played a pivotal role in establishing not only The Beatls but was significant as a venue reflecting how Liverpool experienced far-ranging immigration from across the globe well before most other cities in England, indeed Europe. We typically go in for a drink, if you'd like to because ....... Beatles fans will want to descend the steps to where The Fab 4 rehearsed before going to Hamburg.
There is much more to Mathew Street than just The Cavern! We'll take a walk through LIveprool's music history. Be prepared to be surprised!
Steeped in maritime history, let's take a look inside and enjoy a great British beer in a pub that is an unspoilt local watering hole. The White Star takes its name from the owners of The Titanic, so there is many a tale to tell about Liverpool's rich maritime history.
We finish at the very first pub ever in Liverpool. It's tucked away just off one the original seven streets that made up the original city of Liverpool. We're on the road to London so of course you'll see an original coaching inn. With any luck we'll see the pub owner Steven who loves to welcome all guests personally!
If you would like us to walk you the three minutes back to the Cavern Club that has live music all day every day, it's a great place to finish your tour. Live music, amazing photo opportunities and wonderful moments.
