This tour is suitable for all ages and ability levels.

Nature lovers will have fun making memories with their family during this guided walk in the lush forests of Whistler, BC. Everyone is encouraged to discover their unique friendship with Nature. Your Guide will help you slow down in order to notice the forest's atmosphere with all your senses through educational, playful and meditative experiences. Observe a banana slug the size of your hand, learn why bears need skunk cabbage and zoom in on a tree trunk full of lichen through a hand held microscope. Forage from Nature's edible garden for our tea ceremony. Remove the stresses of life and enjoy being yourself while the sounds of birds and glacier fed streams move relaxing frequencies through the mountain fresh air.

Meeting point

Look for our guide by the PassivHaus patio. She'll be holding a walking stick and wearing a name tag and backpack. Important! You cannot drive directly to the PassivHaus. Park at Whistler Day Lots 4 or 5 Follow the signs on The Valley Trail for Lost Lake. Transit: Stops for bus routes 5 and 8

What to expect

Itinerary:
Our professional guide will fluctuate between two trail options. Both include much of the same but terrain and views vary.

Opt 1: You'll walk from the bridge across from the PassivHaus, along the Valley Trail to the start of the Fitzsimmons Accessible Nature Trail (4 min) Option 2: You'll walk from the bridge to behind the Lost Lake sign to a single track walking trail (2 min). Both trails have little to no elevation. Suitable for all abilities and ages.

Introductions (5 min)

Observational Walk with occasional stops along the way (30-40 min).

This 800-meters interpretive walk includes a rich landscape of diverse ecosystems, bear scratch trees, a cave under ancient cedar roots (Fitz trail), mountain views, a glacier-fed stream, a grove of ancient cedars, birds, berries and more!

Stop and sit beside a glacier-fed steam and enjoy a tea ceremony, our guide stories and meditative moment. (10 min)
You may also journal or draw your Nature reflections, look at feathers or build rock towers.

Walk Back (800 m, 10 min)
To end our tour we'll walk and chat till we end up where we first met.
