The best way to explore these lakes is by taking a solar powered boat tour, which will not only allow you to enjoy the spectacular scenery at a leisurely pace, but also minimize your carbon footprint and impact on the environment. These boats are powered by solar panels, making them both environmentally friendly and quiet, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. On a small bridge, we will embark a solar boat that takes us to the islet of Saint Mary with a Benedictine monastery from the 12th century. During the solar powered boat tour, you will have the opportunity to admire the lush vegetation surrounding the lakes, as well as spot a variety of bird species, such as Adriatic seagull, European shag, and Peregrine falcon. After exploring the small island and Church of the St. Mary, we have a (optional) break and return to Pomena.
