There are some islands in Tokyo. Izu-Oshima is one of the islands of Tokyo, also famous for the volcanic island and 120km from the city of Tokyo. You can enjoy trekking to Mt. Mihara which stands in Izu-Oshima We meet up at the parking lot of Mt. Mihara. Then starting from the view point of Mt Mihara. We start walking from the lookout to the summit. You can see and enjoy the lavas on the way to the summit. After arriving at the summit we go trekking around the crater. You can see a central of the crater.

What to expect

This is about a 3-hour and 30-minute trek. We will guide you on a trek to Mount Mihara, which towers at the center of Izu Oshima, an island known for its active volcano. Along the way, you can enjoy experiences unique to an active volcano, such as exploring lava flows from past eruptions and witnessing the transition of vegetation after eruptions. During the crater round, you'll have the opportunity to see the central crater close, making it a tour that truly allows you to feel the Earth. The path to the summit follows a paved walkway, while the crater tour from the summit involves navigating an unpaved trail.
