If your departure point is from Glasgow we shall stop at Luss on route to Glencoe. We will head over the Kingston and Erskine bridges crossing the River Clyde each time before soon entering into The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. We will get to stop at the conservation village of Luss on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Here we have time to walk around the village and get some great views of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond.
If departing from Edinburgh we will visit The Kelpies on route to Glencoe. The Kelpies are impressive 30-metre-high equine sculptures crafted from stainless steel, celebrating Scotland’s industrial heritage and mythological past.
We then stop at the impressive landscape of Glencoe this is one of Scotland’s most visited glens. Its also the site of the massacre of the MacDonald Clan which your driver will tell you what happened here back in 1692.
From here our next stop will be at the highland town of Fort William which sits under Ben Nevis the highest mountain in Scotland & Britain. Here you can browse in some of the shops along the high street or get your photo taken in the Bronze Ford Model T car.
e drive through The Great Glen and along the Caledonian Canal until we reach Fort Augustus a village which sits on the south end of Loch Ness. On this stop which is about 2 hrs long at Fort Augustus you have the option to take a cruise on Loch Ness and also have lunch here. Admission not included for the boat this is an extra charge normally around £22 for an adult.
We shall pass by Stirling Castle on the return to Glasgow if time allows we will get to take some photos.
If returning to Edinburgh we will pass over The Forth road bridges.
We then travel east through the Cairngorm National Park stopping off at a whisky distillery for some photos before reaching either the highland town of Pitlochry or Taste Perthshire here you have some time to get something to eat/drink or even some whisky ice cream before heading back towards Glasgow or Edinburgh.
