We will discover Rome walking through its stunning squares and monuments, understanding the life of the Roman people since it was founded to the modern times.
It requires time to understand all of the aspects which contributed creating Rome as you perceive it today, but according to what are your main interests we will "travel in time" and this will help you understanding the eternal city.
Without rushing, I will optimize a route which will make you wonder how was living under the Emperors, later under the Pope and finally today: this is why I will also offer you some typical roman appetizers along our way and have some little breaks when we will talk about Roman cuisine: Food is one of the main topics discussed by Italians, so we can't miss out that!
Do you prefer to get to know the Imperial Rome, the medieval, the baroque, the modern one or a bit of all?

    Piazza del Popolo

    A huge square with a long history which hosts one of Rome's biggest obelisc: Do you want to know why the Romans stole it from the Egyptians?

    Spanish Steps

    The famous stairway that leads to up the Trinity Church. Why is it called Spanish? Let's drink some water from the Bernini made fountain "La barcaccia", which has the shape of a small boat, serving water since 400 years.

    Trevi Fountain

    The most famous monumental fountain of Rome: let's throw a coin as the legend wants. We will discover its history and why it is placed there, its stunning mythological statues.

    From the Trevi fountain we will walk in the direction of Pantheon and we will be surprised by an ancient temple dedicated to a Roman Emperor that is now reused as the hall of the chamber of commerce.

    Pantheon, the Church that once was a pagan roman temple dedicated to all their gods. An impressive example of classical roman building. In this square we will try some local snacks or gelato.

    Piazza Navona

    One of the most beautiful squares of Italy, in the XVII century it has been refurbished by the Pamphilij family, this square has a history which dates back way more than that. Let's admire the fountain of the four rivers made by Bernini and the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone planned by Borromini.

    A famous and vivid square of Rome, in the morning it is very crowded due to the presence of the market. It is smaller than Navona square but very picturesque and a statue will reveal us some sad facts from the late Renaissance period.

    The Jewish Ghetto in Rome was established in 1555, once a terribly sad place, we will understand why it happened and why exactly there. It now hosts bars and restaurants where we can try the fried artichoke, a specialty of the roman Jewish cuisine.

    Right in front of the Jewish ghetto, there are the banks of the river Tiber which here hosts a small island, but the only one of Rome: The Tiber Island. Once shaped with marbles as if it is a huge sailboat, this island was crucial for the future development of Rome. Let's discover why.

    Our last stop will be Trastevere: a unique neighbourhood full of bars and restaurants, which has a vibrant atmosphere. In its cute small alleys we can smell the freshly made pastas and once end up to the square of the Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere: one of the oldest church in the world.
