    Arsemia Antik Kenti

Arsameia, the summer capital of the Kommagane kingdom, is a very beautiful historical place with two tunnels and statues that still exist, although they are ruined. All the secrets of the Commagene civilization have been revealed from the inscriptions obtained and translated here. The history of Commagene is written here in Greek and moving upwards, there is a relief showing the scene of Mithradathes Kalinikos, the founder of the Kingdom of Commagene, shaking hands with Hercules Harekles. There are two caves, one of which was carved by human hands, is 158 m long and has two rooms spaced at the end with stairs towards it. This area is the burial place of Antiochos' father. The other one is in the form of a large cube room with a crown-covered entrance, and there is not much information about these caves.

    Mount Nemrut

Experience the breathtaking sight of Mount Nemrut during sunset! Mount Nemrut, B.C. It was built as the monumental tomb of Antiochus I, the ruler of the Kingdom of Commagene in the 1st century. Antiochus wanted to emphasize his immortality and great power by filling these temples and colossal statues with gods and heroes from his own lineage. Monumental sculptures are spread over the eastern, western and northern terraces. The eastern terrace is the sacred center and therefore the most important sculpture and architectural remains are located here. The well-preserved giant statues are made of limestone blocks and are 8-10 meters high. Although its existence is known, the king's tomb has not yet been discovered. At the end of todays tour we will drive back to city center to your hotel or we can advise you Cafe & Restaurants before resting.
