Step inside a historic artisan workshop in Torre del Greco, the world capital of coral and cameo, and discover one of Campania’s most authentic traditions. Guided by a master artisan, you will explore raw materials, tools, and techniques while observing each stage of the production process.
You will then become an artisan for a day through a hands-on experience, trying different phases such as shell shaping, drawing, and an engraving trial, experiencing firsthand the techniques of this craft.
The activity also includes a visit to the showroom, where each creation reflects local heritage and craftsmanship. At the end, you will receive a complimentary authentic souvenir as a lasting memory of your experience.

Meeting and pickup
The workshop is located inside a historic building, easily recognizable thanks to the two tall palm trees at the entrance. Nearby, there are blue parking spaces along the street. There are also two private parking areas on Via Vittorio Veneto.
What to expect
The experience begins with a warm welcome from a master artisan, who will introduce you to the raw materials, such as coral, sardonyx shell, and engraving tools, explaining their origins and characteristics.
You will then observe the different stages of the process, from shaping to carving and finishing, closely following the gestures that transform raw materials into unique handmade pieces.
After the demonstration, you will take part in a hands-on experience, becoming an artisan for a day. You will try different phases of the process, including shell shaping, drawing, and an engraving trial, experiencing firsthand this ancient craft.
The experience continues with a visit to the showroom, where each creation reflects tradition, technique, and local identity.
