At Ebisu Bridge
We will walk toward the main tower of Osaka Castle. During this walk, the guide will explain the history of Osaka Castle and the city of Osaka. Guests will enter Osaka Castle’s main tower with the guide. Inside, the guide will explain the Sengoku period, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and the role of Osaka Castle in Japanese history. Guests will also be able to enjoy the observation deck. Admission to Osaka Castle’s main tower is included in the tour price. Students must present a valid ID showing their age to receive the student admission rate.
Hokoku Shrine (Osaka Castle) Hokoku Shrine, located within Osaka Castle Park, is dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the famous warlord who unified Japan in the late 16th century. Originally built in 1879, the shrine honors Hideyoshi and his loyal retainers. Visitors can see a majestic bronze statue of Hideyoshi and experience the historical significance of the site. The shrine is a popular spot for those seeking success in business and life, as Hideyoshi symbolizes perseverance and achievement.
Tennoji Park is a historic public park in Osaka, near Tennoji Station. Established in 1909, it features Tennoji Zoo, the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts, and the scenic Keitakuen Garden. The modern Tenshiba area offers cafes, restaurants, and open spaces for relaxation. A perfect blend of nature, culture, and leisure in the city.
After visiting Osaka Castle, we will take a train for about 10 minutes to our second sightseeing location. We will walk from the station toward Tsutenkaku. During this walk, the guide will explain the history of Tsutenkaku and Osaka’s food culture. We will view Tsutenkaku from the outside and enjoy the surrounding Shinsekai area. We will not go up to the observation deck of Tsutenkaku on this tour.
Janjan Yokocho is a lively alley in the Shinsekai area of Osaka, famous for its retro atmosphere, delicious street food, and deep local culture. The name “Janjan” comes from the sound of shamisen music that used to be played in the area.
Walk along the beautiful stone-paved alley, which has been preserved since the Edo period.
The main attraction at Hōzenji is the Mizukake Fudō, a moss-covered statue of Fudō Myōō (Acala). Visitors pour water over the statue as an offering while making a wish or prayer.
The third sightseeing location will be Dotonbori. We will walk through the area while explaining its history, taking a detour through back alleys to introduce you to Ura-Namba and showing you a temple.
