What to expect

In this class you can make Wagashi by yourself. Wagashi means Japanese sweets.
You make 5 pieces Wagashi, then 1 piece for the tea ceremony. It takes 1 hour & half.
Next, tea master will "demonstrate how to do Japanese tea ceremony". Also, you can see the “Charcoal procedure”. That is, we add charcoal to boil water. It’s really rare experience for you ,even for Japanese people.
During the procedure, you can eat the Wagashi you made. Then, tea master will "make Matcha (green tea)" for you. You can learn how to be a guest.
After you see the procedure, you can try to make Matcha by yourself with my Wagashi which I made (I prepare Wagashi & dried Japanese sweets for you).
So you can drink 2 cups of Matcha, eat 2 pieces of Wagashi, and take home the remaining 4 pieces of Wagashi. It takes totally for about three hours for “Wagashi ” & ”Japanese tea ceremony” workshop.
If you would like to try both, it’s a good combination!! Both are Japanese traditional cultures.
•You don’t need to bring anything for the Wagashi class but please bring socks to enter the Japanese Tatami room for tea ceremony.

Just FYI, it is good to visit Yokohama Ramen museum. It is just 15 min from Azamino station.
