Take a cable car and hiking both two ways accommodate people with different abilities and preferences. Cable car is easier to see the whole picture which good for kids and people who don’t want to consume much energy. Walk from the bottom to the top is steeper with larger stairs and I think is more suitable for advanced hikers and the people who want to challenge themselves.

    Mutianyu Great Wall

    Itinerary: Pick you up from hotel.(7:30am) Head straight to Mutianyu Great Wall.(1.5-2hours) Guide you to buy the entry tickets and cable car tickets. (15 minutes) Take a cable car up to the top.(20 minutes) Hiking on the Wall.(3-4hours) Go back to the parking lot and return to my home for having lunch. After lunch go back to your hotel.(1.5-2hours)
