As a local guide and award-winning photographer, I use professional aurora-tracking tools and real-time weather data to give you the best chance of seeing the Northern Lights. If conditions aren’t favorable, I’ll let you know in advance and offer the option to cancel. I’ll help you capture stunning shots with your phone or camera, and share insights about Alaska’s landscapes, history, and wildlife during our aurora hunt.

    At Hatcher Pass, you’ll have a clear vantage point away from city lights for viewing and photographing the Northern Lights. Depending on conditions, we may set up in one of several scenic pullouts with panoramic mountain views. Your guide will help you find the best spot, share tips for capturing the aurora, and point out constellations while you enjoy the quiet beauty of Alaska’s night sky.

    From the Arctic Valley Ski Area, you’ll have a wide, unobstructed view of the night sky, far from the city lights. This spot offers excellent conditions for spotting the Northern Lights, with sweeping views over the Anchorage Bowl and surrounding mountains. Your guide will help you find the best vantage points and share tips for photographing the aurora.

    At Palmer Hay Flats, travelers will enjoy wide-open views of the Alaskan night sky, with minimal light pollution and sweeping horizons perfect for aurora viewing. The surrounding wetlands and mountain silhouettes create a dramatic backdrop for photography. Your guide will help position you for the best possible aurora sightings and share tips for capturing the colors and movement of the lights.
