As a local guide and award-winning photographer, I use professional aurora-tracking tools and real-time weather data to give you the best chance of seeing the Northern Lights. If conditions aren’t favorable, I’ll let you know in advance and offer the option to cancel. I’ll help you capture stunning shots with your phone or camera, and share insights about Alaska’s landscapes, history, and wildlife during our aurora hunt.

Itinerary

Duration: 4 to 5 hours (approximately)

    Anchorage

    We will depart from Anchorage and head towards Hatchers Pass. This is a fun drive through the mountains up to an elevation of nearly 4000'. Typically takes about 2 hours. Along the way I will tell you about the history and industries of Alaska!

    Hatchers pass was a turn of the century gold mine and community surrounded by mountains and wide open skies. Here we will watch for auroras and setup our cameras. Hatchers pass with it's upper elevation gives some of the best chances to see the Northern Lights.

    After we, hopefully, see the auroras and get some amazing photos we will return to Anchorage.
