Lions Head hike is the preferred route for mountain enthusiasts, the relatively easiest of the routes in Cape Town. The trail is steep towards the summit, but has ladders and sturdy chains making the hike easier and comfortable. The 5.5km trail (both ways) takes about 2-3 hours depending on the speed and fitness level. The giant ‘Cape Granite’ and Sandstone ensure hikers have a fun work out. Hikers and climbers enjoy spectacular views of the city and surroundings, exhilarating natural beauty, a diverse and unique fauna/fynbos & flora in a peaceful environment. These breathtaking views include a 360-degree panorama of Cape Town.
