What to expect

You will cycle along an old railway line that weaves smoothly through the mountains north of Ronda. The cycle route is 36km and used to be a railway line, so it naturally descends gradually from start to finish, making it a fun and easy cycling route. Once you meet with the guide at the pick-up point, we drive to the town of Olvera where the start of the Via Verde is located. At the start point, you will be fitted with bicycles that have been pre selected based on the rider's height (we will have gathered this information from you in advance). Now you have been fitted with a bicycle and helmet the guide will explain the route you will be cycling. The route is self-guided and has a few points of interest a long the route such as a vulture conservation centre and old stations, one of which has been turned into a recreational area with cafe. You will have 3.5 hours to finish the route which will be at the final station on the route and you will be collected by your guide here. Your guide will also be available to you as a support vehicle during the route. Navigation is also not required as it is a dedicated cycling and walking route and has no junctions to navigate.
