Meeting point

Meet by the payment machine in the car park and look for a white van with bicycles. Our van is a Ford Tourneo Courier with air con and 5 seats including the driver, the three seats in the rear can be a little snug with 3 big people, so bear that in mind when booking for a group of 4 people.

End point

What to expect

Once at the meeting point, we will drive 35 minutes passing through the beautiful town of Grazalema to the start point above the town.

When we arrive, you will be paired with your bicycle and fitted with a helmet followed by a briefing from your guide. As a self-guided bike ride, you will also be given a GPS unit to help navigate you along the route and you will also have a support vehicle available for the entire bike ride.

Once you start the route, you will ascend from above the town, along the road through the natural park taking in the incredible views and stopping for some great photo opportunities.

The 300m ascent continues for 4km in total until you reach Las Palomas Pass where you have another fantastic viewpoint looking out to the beautiful Andalusian countryside.

From Las Palomas Pass you will descend for the next 18km, gradually meandering downhill, passing protected ancient Andalusian fir trees, olive groves and the lake below Zahara de las Sierra.

As you ride through Zahara de las Sierra you will cycle through the heart of town absorbing its charm all before you cycle down out of town, over the dam to the collection point.
