  Villa Melzi d'Eril, located in Bellagio, "the pearl of Lake Como", is a neoclassical masterpiece immersed in a centuries-old park. The villa, built between 1808 and 1810 at the behest of Francesco Melzi d'Eril, Duke of Lodi and vice-president of the Napoleonic Italian Republic, boasts elegant and refined architecture. The interior, embellished with frescoes, stuccoes and valuable works of art, can unfortunately only be partially visited. The real jewel of Villa Melzi is the English park, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. An oasis of peace and beauty, where paths wind through flower-lined avenues, statues, caves and centuries-old trees. The panoramic view of Lake Como is breathtaking and makes the park an ideal place for a romantic walk or a moment of relaxation.

• Villa del Balbiano - Complesso Architettonico di Ossuccio (ante 1778) (Pass by)

  Villa Balbiano, located on the western shore of Lake Como, in the municipality of Ossuccio, is an enchanting historic residence dating back to the 18th century. The villa stands on a promontory that juts out into the lake, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. History: The villa was built in 1787 on a pre-existing Franciscan monastery by Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini, who had also obtained the nearby Villa del Balbiano from the Giovio family. Cardinal Durini passionately dedicated himself to the expansion and embellishment of the villa, creating an Italian garden with statues, fountains and tree-lined avenues. Over the centuries, the villa has had numerous owners, including Count Guido Monzino, explorer and mountaineer, who enriched it with works of art and memorabilia from his expeditions. Architecture: The villa has a neoclassical façade with an ashlar portal and two bell towers, a remnant of the ancient church of the Franciscan monastery.
