Meeting and pickup
Pick-Up & Drop-Off
Free hotel pick-up is available within 5km of Cape Town’s inner city. Beyond this, an extra fee applies. Exact times and locations will be confirmed at least 6 hours before your adventure. Please be ready at your accommodation’s reception for collection.
Sunrise Hikes
Depart around 2 hours before sunrise. The first stretch will be in darkness—headlamps provided.
Sunset Hikes
Depart around 2 hours before sunset. The return hike will be in darkness—headlamps provided.
Meeting at the Trailhead If you’ve chosen to meet at the starting point, please be there on time. Your exact meeting time will be confirmed at least 6 hours before the hike.
What to expect
Set out before dawn or late afternoon, following the trail by headlamp as you make your way toward the summit. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of Table Mountain, Camps Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Town, while learning about the area’s history, culture, flora and wildlife.
At the summit, take time to soak up the panoramic views, capture unforgettable photographs and experience the changing light over the Cape.
Experience includes:
• Privately guided Lion’s Head hike
• Sunrise or sunset experience
• Headlamps for low-light sections
• Local mountain, nature and cultural insights
• Photo opportunities and guidance along the trail
Allow approximately 3 hours, with the hike starting at least 1.5 hours before sunrise or sunset.
