This elevated coastal experience blends snorkeling the African Sea Forest with a sophisticated tasting of Cape fisherman cuisine — including a bespoke fisherman-style sushi selection crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Once at our snorkel site, you’ll slip beneath the surface and glide into the ethereal African Sea Forest — one of the world’s most magical underwater realms.
Kelp fronds sway like underwater curtains. Cape fur seals drift in with playful curiosity. Pajama sharks move with quiet confidence. Octopus, reef fish, and shysharks reveal their world in slow, mesmerizing motion. This is nature unfiltered — an underwater wilderness that humbles and energizes all at once.
After resurfacing, we shift into slow-living coastal mode. You’ll join me at a peaceful shoreline where a premium fisherman-style sushi and traditional seafood picnic awaits.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We will pick you up at the Hotel lobby or arrival hall. The driver will be waiting for you with a sign with the lead travelers name. Exact time of collection will be communicated to you at least 4 hrs before.
Meet at Dive Team Centre, 66 St George’s St, Simon’s Town. Arrive 15 mins before your 9:00 am or 2:00 pm slot. You’ll meet me personally and get changed into snorkelling gear before we head out for the adventure.
What to expect
We start with a scenic cruise along False Bay, passing naval landmarks, colourful harbours, and the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. At the snorkel site, glide beneath the surface into the ethereal African Sea Forest, where kelp fronds sway like underwater curtains and playful seals, pajama sharks, octopus, and reef fish reveal their hidden world.
After the snorkel, relax at a peaceful shoreline with a premium fisherman-style sushi and traditional seafood picnic. Enjoy smoked fish maki, kelp-infused salmon rolls, sashimi, bokkoms, traditional cape malay tuna smorrtjie, roosterkoek with preserves, seasonal fruit, and coastal refreshments.
It’s a slow, immersive experience — adventure, culture, and cuisine combined — leaving you with lasting memories of Cape Town’s wild ocean and coastal heritage.
