Most tours are organized for groups. In our case, we offer you an individual tour, just for you and your travel companion(s). It might be more expensive than the per-person rate for a group tour, but you get all the attention of our guide or driver. Our guide/driver is a real local with very often years of experience as a taxi driver and guide. She or he knows every corner of the island, and you will be surprised by their knowledge of our history and culture. Feel free to ask your driver to make longer or shorter stops en route; there is much to see and a lot to tell.
We will meet you at the lobby of your hotel/accommodation or at any address on Bonaire that you have given us.
See Kralendijk's Kaya Grandi, the main street with shops and restaurants, the government offices and island council parlament.
We drive to the north and pass by Harbour Village Marina, one of the two marina's of Bonaire. In its neigbourhood you will see the Harbour Village Beach Resort, Eden Beach Resort, Chcocogo Beach Resort and Isidel Park, our newest public beachfront park.
On our way north, we will pass by Hato, a residential area north of Kralendijk. Here also some of the most popular hotels like Den Laman, Sand Dollar, Captain Don's Habitat, Buddy Dive Resort and Hamles Oasis are located.
Sabedeco, or Santa Barbara Development Company, is a residential area and we will pass by some of the island's most impresive (and expensive) villas.
On our way north, we continue on the costal road in the direction of BOPEC. At 1000 steps we will make a 5 minute stop for you to enjoy the '1000'step staires down and up. A beautiful area and a must see on the island.
BOPEC has been in service as an oil storage plant during the glory days of Venezuela's oil production. Today the plant is not active any more and waiting for a new purpose.
Goto Lake is an essential lake for Washington National Park as rainwater is collected in the lake. It has an open connection to the Caribbean Sea and therefor the water is a mixture of fresh (rain)water and seawater. The lake attracks a lot of birds (including Flamingos). We will stop at a viewing point with an impressive view on Goto Lake.
Rincon is the oldest residential area on island, hidden in a valley and therefor out of sight for saylors with bad intentions. The village is a good example of the authentic tranquil live that Bonaireans use to live.
We will have a look at this unique area where young and old can be seen in landsailing carts, a new sport on our island.
This is the highest observation point in island with spectacular views over most part of the island, including the east and west coast and Klein Bonaire.
