Meeting and pickup
Arriving at the first parking lot available at Salto do Cabrito, you will see a path down which is only available for companies. You will need to walk down that path, and you will find the parking lot near the waterfall. There you will find us waiting for you!
What to expect
Just outside Ribeira Grande and surrounded by lush rainforest and geothermal wonders, this unique volcanic canyon is the perfect setting for an adrenaline-filled day. After gearing up and a full safety briefing from our expert guides, we’ll hike approximately 30 minutes to the canyon entrance, where your adventure begins.
Descend through this stunning canyon by scrambling, sliding, rappelling down waterfalls (up to 16 meters high!), and enjoying optional jumps and a zipline, all while immersed in the raw beauty of São Miguel’s wild nature. With warm spring water and dramatic rock walls shaped by volcanic forces, this canyon is accessible year-round and offers a one-of-a-kind combination of fun, challenge, and natural beauty.
