Meeting and pickup
Arriving at the first parking lot available at Salto do Cabrito, you will see a path down which is only available for companies. You will need to walk down that path, and you will find the parking lot near the waterfall. There you will find us waiting for you!
What to expect
Located near Ribeira Grande and surrounded by lush rainforest and geothermal landscapes, this volcanic canyon offers the perfect mix of adrenaline and natural beauty. After gearing up and receiving a comprehensive safety briefing from our expert guides, you’ll enjoy a scenic 30-minute hike to the canyon entrance — the start of your adventure.
From there, you’ll descend through the canyon by scrambling, sliding, and rappelling down waterfalls up to 16 meters high, with optional jumps for those seeking an extra thrill. Shaped by volcanic forces and fed by warm spring water, this canyon is accessible year-round and delivers a truly unique experience.
